I have recently just bought Numark TT1650 decks and Numark DM2050 mixer and want to connect them to virtual dj. I have the DJ IO soundcard too. Ive set up my soundcard and that works. Ive connected the soundcard to my mixer and when I play a song it comes through and there is a signal but when I try to set up the timecode vinyl it wont work. Help please!!

That is because the DJ i/o is NOT an ASIO sound card. Sorry you will not be able to use it that way.

It is an asio card but it has no inputs , idealy what you need is a Virtual Vinyl Interface , or a similar dual stero input card.

thank you for your help. which soundcard would you recommend?

http://www.numark.com/virtualvinyl
Includes full , CUE , VV SOUNDCARD , VINYLS , CDS
i would advise you to look at numark tt500s or ttx1usb as a upgrade if you want to do heavy stratching.

I've looked at what you suggested but needed something more in my price range. I found this ESI Gigaport AG 8 Channel USB Soundcard from http://www.djstore.com/item/soundcards/esigigaportag.htm Would that be suitable?

The Gigiport card will not work for timecode, it has 8 OUTPUTS, but not enough inputs. If you want a budget soundcard go for the Maya USB 44, and then as Kayne would say "Wait till I get my money right" upgrade to one of these Pro Soundcards
