Its probably stupid but, can you connect to software controllers to your mac? How do dj groups like black ghosts etc work in twos?

You can use :
Xponent
BCD3000
MK2 DJ Console
RXM Console
Numark Total Control
Icue
DMC2
And any other midi controller via midi mapping.
