Topic: DJ Console Mk2 pausing monetarily during playback at random.. vista user

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have DJ console mk2 and the new(ish) laptop I am using has vista on it. (I am not particularly PC literate by the ways) During playback it will pause momentarily sometimes when the tracks switch or at no particular time... I have downloaded the vista fix but it has made no difference... It may be a setting on the laptop that I am not aware of??? I realise this is basic stuff, but I would appreciate some help. Pete.

You shouldn't have any problems with that Spec,

I've had these pauses in the past, can you try this. In Config go to Performance, and set as this

Preset - Slider all the way to Fastest
Latency - Auto
Safe mode - Checked, Overclock - Unchecked

This is what I run on, try this. If this don't work I have another tweak you can try.

Also do you run the console in WMD mode or Asio mode.

1. Try to minimized ur background applications/ processes.
2. Upgrade to the latest DJC edition V3.4.1 if u haven't done so n reinstalled.
3. Update the latest herc driver
4. Update ur directx

Hope this helps;)

@Jimmy, i think he using ver 3xx with the console n there no such setting in that version yet if im not wrong. But yes if he using the trial, he should do that;)

Vista on 1Gb of RAM and thats the most the laptop will take. That's rubbish. you should and need to get 2GB in there. Try the Vista Ready Boost Option if you have to. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/readyboost.mspx it's cheaper than RAM as well.

Also turn off indexing and any other background stuff.

Set Vista for best performance and have applications run faster.

I posted the exact details on how to do this on other threads so have a search
