when i record like 20 tracks using auto smart, its putting it into a single file. !!!
also blank gaps between songs when using smart mode

first off, when you mean auto smart, do you mean automix? and what are you expecting it to do? recording a mix, yes, does give you only one file, thats what its supposed to do. the bit about blank parts in between is not what its supposed to do. explain a bit more about the problem and maybe someone can help you. dont give up on vdj just yet, your money is not quite yet wasted.
