This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Okay, im a bit new to this. What exactly does this do? I mean is it just a normal player , or does it come with a midi mixer as well? What im trying to say is, what exactly is this product, can anyone provide a photo and some details. And if it doesnt have an external mixer, what options do I have regarding that matter. Cheers!

Time-coded vinyl are special records with binary code on them so if you scratch the computer copies , if you change pitch so does the computer , if you cue so does the computer basicaly if you can do it with a turntable you can do it with VDJ with time-codes. http://www.virtualdj.com/products/hardware.html , you would require a soundcard such as numark Virtual Vinyl http://www.virtualdj.com/products/virtualvinyl.html

U46DJ or Maya 44 usb and a set of turntables.

The technology aslo works with CD players , using the free time-code signal which you can download and burn to cd.

instead of the U46DJ or Maya 44, can't i just use the Numark DXM01USB mixer as a sound card? will it work with timecodes?

Unfortunately no it lacks the needed inputs.
