So, will that work with the on-board sound card?
Posted Wed 24 Nov 04 @ 7:35 am
yes it will ...do you have only one card?

It will work with only one sound card, but you will need to split the output.
This requires a stereo splitter. A cable with the headphone jack on one end, and 2 rca plugs on the other end.

Yes, I have only one on-board sound card.
I'm looking to make a small set-up (after hours office fun)
but i'm a serious music collector and my passion is mostly electronica - Leftfield, Sasha, Thievery Corp., etc.
I've got a set of Logitech thx 400w multimedia speakers that crank and would like to start recording some mixes smoothly and professionally with VDJ.

u should buy an external usb or firewire sound card, and u'll have pre-listening and the chance of use an external mixer.
I own a Creative Extigy and works great.

You plug the splitter into the headphone out jack. Then you plug one of the rca ends into your speakers. (some adaptation may be required) Then you plug your headphone into the other rca end. (adaptation will be required)
Chose in sound configuration, 1 sound card/headphone speaker.
