Topic: MAYA 44 USB not working with VDJ 5 beta 3 and TCVs

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I can see in the Mac control panel that the sound really is coming into the computer from the TCVs.

But in VDJs timecode config there is no signal at all.

I´m not getting any ASIO errors and apart from the whole thing NOT working, everything seems fine.

Any suggestions?

I've got the same problem with a Maya + CDTC
And also with a U46MK II

I think that there is no implentation for other hardware than Numark.

folks

to clear this up there is support for non numark cards

what u need to do , is go to applications > utilities then

open Audio and midi tools

on this you need to create an aggregate device

go to inputs , and then choose agirate device as default

then click setup device tick the inputs of the cards and the outputs

now do the same for outputs

and now when you choose agrigate in vdj it should see your card ,

i explained it in this document
i will add more info to it soon

Trying to apply this method with the M-Audio Conectiv. When I create the device and try to configure it the Conectiv shows up as 1 card with 4 in and 4 out. When I apply it to the device it applys both input and output at the same time. I then select the device as the default input and output. I then start VDJ and try to configure the timecode. I select the device and test the input, but the signal does not apear. Am I missing a step here? I did at one point have this working, but I reinstalled 10.4.8 and did all the online updates, reinstalled everything else and am now stuck. Could it be a problem with the 10.4.10 update? BTW, everything works on the Windows XP side of my MacBook Pro so i know its not a hardware problem.
