I am going to upgrade to virtual DJ pro. I have the home edition, as you already know, and tried both demos of VDJ and Numark cue. I bought the xponent about a month ago and have been trying out the Torq software, but to be honest I really did not like it very much. Also, I have tried Deckadance but kept resorting back to VDJ. I am not sure at this point what to do with the xponent controller. I know VDJ will have full support for it but by selling it I'll have the extra cash to put toward the upgrade of VDJ pro and also get a basic controller. I am thinking I might like to use timecode, thats why I made this post. I thought I read somewhere that the hercules MK2 controller will allow you to plug in 2 turntables and use VDJ timecoded vinyl and will work, correct me if I am wrong? I'm just not sure what to do at this point. All I know is that I want to upgrade to VDJ pro.

Hi all
Can anyone tell me where the best place is to get the VDJ or cue timecode vinyls in the UK?
I know they're available from the website here, but I've heard other users complaing that they sometimes get warped or damaged in transit. Is there a UK distributor that can just sell me the vinyls alone - those I've found only sell the full virtual vinyl suite?
Thanks, Pete

I spoke to numerous companies in the UK last week trying to get timecoded vinyl. Numark class it as a spare part, rather than a consumable and therefore they don't send it out as stock to Numark suppliers. Numark stockists can order if from Numark in Aldershot and Numark offers a next day delivery to the shop if they place the order before a certain time.
Having said that, i got mine in the UK and yes, they are warped. Some serious thought has to go nto this by the manufacturers and distributors. Companies like HMV / Virgin megastore manage to get imported vinyl on to their shelves in a good condition, so i don't see why Numark & VDJ are supplying an inferior product. I've even heard that time coded vinyl from other manufacturers arrives in perfect condition.
In the UK, under the 1976 sale of goods act, you are entitled to a full refund (inc all postage & packing costs) for receiving a defective product. if the store claims the vinyl was not warped when they sent it out, then the courier must be responsible so check if there is insurance.
I can't see how the store can check if its warped as the packaging is cellophane wrapped the vinyl would have to be opened by them to check.
Good luck, and if you do receive some in perfect condition, i'd love to know where you got them from :)

Yes djfs, i wasn't actually questioning where you got yours from. i was actually responding to the person who started the thread asking the questions.

I think my thread got hijacked! Anyway, do the jog wheels for the xponent work o.k. with VDJ pro? I looked around a little bit but could not find any info on that.
