Ok, timcoded cds , laptop , hercules , external mixer , and maya44 usb. Everything is working fine all is connected properly , etc. But, when I record , it records fine also . I can just hear what i preview on my headphones in my recording. I tried many configurations and nothing works. Am I doing something wrong , or is it just f......up!


My setup is like this tt's conected to the input of maya.

outputs of maya connected to inputs of external mixer.

hercules to laptop

maya usb to laptop

headphone preview is on external mixer



Now sound config is as follows: input-timecoded cd's , output-external mixer , sound card-asio , asio driver-maya 44 usb , output channels- left deck 1/2 right deck 3/4

What is wrong ,please help!

are you recording the outputs of 3/4 on the hercules , as when the herc is in headphone mode it uses these channels for the headphones

so u would be recording your preview
 
The only thing connected to the herc is a usb cable , and the power cord nothing else.
