Topic: New Setup...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Well I used my new setup last night (Intel Core2Quad 2.40GHz Q6600 with 2Gb RAM and ATI Radeon X1950 Pro, run through an M-Audio Xponent) and must say I was pleased with it's performance - barely seemed to break a sweat. Happilly running video, sonique and slideshow with various effects and transitions used throughout the night. Hopefully the same will happen tonight :)

Great!

Good to hear, but you have monster machine there, so it has to work great ;)

how well does the xponet work?

it doesn't act as a soundcard right?

the xponent is a soundcard ,

it has a master andboth out and headphones

that's a great pc you got. can't wait for the quad cores to hit the mainstream laptop market.

That quad is nothing special really, it is two Core 2 CPU's connected, so it is not real quad core processor. Quad CPU and more are yet to come ;)
Best buy right now is Core 2 6750 at 2.66Ghz with 4MB cache and using 1333Mhz BUS. More expensive that this is waste of money now.

That is great to hear because I'm picking up my pc in about 3 hours with that same spects & I will be hooking up the exponent also.I was a little worried about the 2 gb of memory but that is good to read that it ran good or should I ask do you feel it ran great?
