Topic: VOB error Loading ambient tracks

When I load any of my ambient (no audio) video tracks, I get a VOB error, and the track will not play. Any idea on what might cause this?

The error is because VirtualDJ can not find an audio track to load.
 

Load no-audio ambient video clips in the new ClipBank plugin in the video effect section.

You can load up many ambient clips ready to be triggered there

are you loading these into cilpbank to play, if you are and still have problems do a quick conversion of ambients to avi/mpeg1. hope that helps

I see the clip bank, but I have several hundred chroma key, billboard, and ambient theme videos that I will frequently alternate with music videos (My Hercules output goes to my main mixer, which is then mixed with my main music source - PCDJ). So I would like to browse and load these directly by browsing my assorted video folders, without having to go into effects. Is this not possible?
 


Well, it should, agree..

Not sure why that hasnt been made, but as you say, sometimes the collection is too large to use the ClipBank for ambients.

Will ask Dev Team if we can fix that for you ;)

the only way i know is you must go into clipbank to load and press loop for continuous play after loading your clip, as i dont have a midi norway who i think designed it will be able to give a better qualified answer...

Thank you... it would be great if we maybe could have a checkbox under CONFIG that says something like:

Allow non-audio files to load direct.

 
Could always add a 'dead air' audio track to the video clips.
 
That would be a major hassle.... I believe any VOB should be loadable with or without audio. By the way, is there a way to make the regular player loop a track continuously?
 
Any verdict on this? Will the development team be able to add a checkbox somewhere to allow loading these ambient videos direct?
 
Eric dont know if this will help you or not, but you can create more than 1 clipbank, I for example have 7 that I use. Go to My Documents/Virtual dj/Plugins/Video effects and find the clipbank.dll and copy it to the desktop then rename it to clipbank2.dll and put it back into the video effects folder. I mean at least you can get 50 or so loaded and keep changing them as needed.
 
Yes, but the point is that I'm using ambients / billboards/ chromakey so frequently that I need them to be just as accessible as the music videos themselves. It really is much more cumbersome to have to search among hundreds of these files via numerous clipbanks, then to browse in a pre-organized directories.

Norway DJ.... can this be incorporated in a future revision?
 
I understand what you are sayin, maybe there is something that could be done who knows:)
