Topic: Napster Files (DRM)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Please Please Please try to add some function in VDJ to recognize files that either the DRM has expired or the file is no longer valid. I think Napster has changed some ways and now I seem to see more and more errors due to the DRM files. Thanks guys:)

This would likely require custom implementation ... for every DRM out there. There used to be a plugin sdk in here suited for this but seem it's gone now so there goes my suggestion of DIY ...

Comedy solution:

Convert the files to mp3, in the Comment meta field add the Expiry date or other term. Then just right click in VDJ and add the Comment field/column and read if you're allowed to play the file anymore or not :-)

Clever eh?

Actually that is clever, but I dont know if that would help anyone if being inspected as the DRM was put there for a reason. But I might just do that LOL
