is there a way to alphabetize them the answer should not include move up / move down .......

Up and Down are the only options available. You need to manually put them in the order you want. Sorry but, UP/DOWN is the only answer.

I think a good option would to be able to collapse your virtual folders, like you can on a favorite folder. Just a thought.
