I'm calling upon the video gods. Those of you using video, what is the best video suite software for ripping dvd's and converting video files?

everyone on vdj has possibly there own preferences as you will soon see, i've used in the past dvdcrypter, nero etc but the one i came across and is super fast and ideal for virtually every task and format is AVS 4 n 1 and there is a free demo so you can try it out to see if its to your liking, find it here www.avsmedia.com is ideal for beginners to super brains and can be used immediately and you don't need to read through pages of instructions either, its all self explanitary as you look at the screen but if you do get stuck just give me a shout or pm me and i'll walk you through it... goodluck

on windows i prefer dvddecrypter, on linux i prefer mplayer, on mac i prefer mac the ripper.
