I cant seem to find the thread that posted a tip on creating a shortcut for the crossfader which gives that autocut effect by one touch of the keyboard. Anyone who remembers please advise.

By default Page up and Page down move the crossfader. But you can assign your own via the Keyboard Shortcuts menu.

You can also make successive right-clicks on the other side of the crossfader.
