Using electronic keyboard as midi.

Anyone care to share how to go about this. Do I need to buy a midi card for the PC? etc etc

I used an old midi keyboard as the basis for my controller (see blog)... Some soundcards (the ones with gameport sockets) have onboard MIDI, so all you'd need is a 5-pin DIN cable to go from your keyboard to the D-connector on the soundcard. I used a USB MIDI convertor that I bought for around £20 - midi sockets on one side, USB socket on the other. Dead simple to set up.

Have a look on Ebay, you can find one with a built-in USB interface for not much money...

I now have a keyboard (electric Piano) so will have a go at setting this up.
