Gang -
I installed a RADEON 9250 256mb card. Installed just the drivers only from the CD.
When I launch a video, it plays nicely but the quality looks bad - on a 17" TFT. I am using VOB originals. The video looks 'blocky'. Same video looks better using PowerDVD.
Using the 'Video Decoder' CODEC.
Any ideas?
Also, how can I enforce the screen ratio? The prev looks correct but on the monitor, looks a tad stretched.
Thanks gang!

I just noticed this is on the 'poo poo' list of VGA cards.
What will I not be able to do w/ it? I just want to play a music video and/or slide show type montage - perhaps even a full movie.
3d effects are not in my immediate future.
Now, with that said, why would there be a quality difference between PowerDVD and VDJ output from that card using same source?
It just sux that I paid $75 for it.
Augggggggggggg.

I just installed the latest catalyst drivers. Improved things somewhat. I'll just 'deal' w/ this card for the time being.
Thanks!
Thanks!
