It's a shame this has only come up now as I'll be going on holiday tomorrow otherwise I could have helped out. Have dealt with quite a few dedicated servers and virtual private servers in the past. I think skyfxl may be able to help as if I remember correctly he has a few servers? Although I don't know if he uses Linux on them.
