hi ,
I bought virtual dj pro and a hercules usb 5.1 soundcard.

Do i need a extra cable for connecting my laptop to a amplifier of a disco ?

When you say a Hercules 5.1 sound card, do you mean the MK2 controller?
 
No , just a hercules 5.1 usb soundscard ..

What do u mean exactly...to a amplifier of a disco?? do u mean the amp at the discotheque? Are u using any controller or external mixer or player etc? (this required different setting)

If u just use the laptop n the soundcard, u still need to have extra cable going to the amp or the soundboard mixer (if any) from ur soundcard using rca..into the line in...input but if u don't use the soundcard but solely from ur lappy using onboard lappy soundcard (which is not so good), u could use the minijack then at the other end with a 1/4 jack connector to the stereo input of the mixer etc.. Or u could use the minijack with the other end with 2 rca into the line in of the mixer.. hope that helps.
