Topic: Using a basic skin with video files

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I only carry video VOB files with me for music. But today I am doing a gig that doesn't require videos. If I use the basic skin that shows no videos... am I using less resources on my laptop thus being less prone to crashes?

Or is it true that since I am using the VOB files... I am using the resources regardless if I am outputting video or not.

I would have to say yes as your graphics card isnt having to deal with the preview windows. Just my guess.
