I am planning on switching out from a relative weak tower to a pretty powerful laptop (specs below). This should be able to handle videos (mpeg), correct? The tower fried the video card and then freezes on loading video now.
I am running the latest Pro version of the software, btw.
Any reponse would be greatly appreciated,

That card with 256 dedicated DDR3 ram (FAST!) would blow you away on video mixing..
Its what I call an over-kill even ;) hehe
But hey, you can always play some damn good 3d games too
And dual core.. it loads videos like it was mp3s.. super fast ;)
