Just curious why the video display lags behind the audio......only on some music videos.

Most likely a PC Performance problem? Its watchable but annoying sometimes.

Also, deck #2 runs videos perfectly, deck #1 sometimes freezes with video

I do NOT have a dedicated video card in my Dell Laptop.....

Specs: Intel Pentium M 1.73, 1 Gig of Ram

then that is why you need a dedicated card for best results
 
What are the rest of your specs, specifically video card type and memory?
