Topic: EFFFECTS ON MIC? MK2

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is it possible? Reason I am asking is my board took a dump and my backup has no effects on it. I need to be able to add echo to my microphone. If I can't do it through the MK2, is there another way to get effects on the mic short of buying a processor or new board?

Sorry, there is no way to process effects on mic ...

At least not yet.

Currently VDJ uses Windows mic setting, so VDJ dont process the mic input at all, Windows does.

So in theory, you could find another Windows software that would add DSP effect to the mic in, at your soundcard, but I dont know of any at the top of my head...

If you search google maybe you can find one, or a VST effect for mic inputs (works inside VDJ)

Yes and the Mic Output is very quiet.

I've always found i've needed to have the volume on the Mk2 down to about 40% on each deck, than have the mic volume right up to the max otherwise you just can't hear it!
