My computer is slowly breaking down and i've racked up a list of about 500 dubplates i used on vdj, all with set cues. When i'm transfering these mp3s onto my new computer, is there anyway i can keep this cues. I've enabled vdj tags in config, if that helps

you can backup your database
C:/programfiles/virtualdj
virtualdjdatbase.xml
virtualdjdatabase(yourname).xml
mp3database.txt
by copying these files to a safe location
and then on your new computer placing them back
hope to see you as a pro user soon :)

I always back upp my database. But was wondering if I always need to backup
bothe database and the databaser(myname) file. What's the difference between the two.
I am the only one thnat uses this computer.

If you put old database without login name, it will build new one with login name and use that one in the future. It will include all your data from the old one, but the old one will not be updated anymore. You need to backup only the one with login name in it.
