If you don't use video, I recommend HP 530 model with Dual Core CPU T2050:

it is cheap and very good built for the price, I just added 1Gb, so now I have 1,5Gb ram :)

There is:
http://www.virtualdj.com/products/virtualdj/description.html
but it should be updated for minimum requirements.

Recommended config in there is ok for TCV use, but you can get better machine for less money now, ram memory is cheap these days etc.
I don't use TCV (yet) but that HP 530 model is up to the task for sure. It is just not for video use.

You mean in my HP 530? Good video card, it has 950 Intel integrated one which is not that bad, but I think it is not up to the task with bigger files like vob. It might work ok for Divx/Xvid ;)

Ok Guys, this is what im being told we can get....
NEC Versa P7200 - 1705DR
Intel Core Duo processor T5300 (1.73 Ghz 2MB L2 Cache 533MHz)
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
1GB DDR2 RAM
120GB HDD 5300RPM
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator <-----(Not too fussed if its crappy or not, im not a video mixer.)
Runs on XP Professional (we dont want Vista)
IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH FOR TCV?
or should i attempt to plead for something more (im not buying it you see :P )???

It is ok for TCV, if you can, add another Gb of ram memory as it is very cheap these days ;)

I dunno if i can, probably not (something about not in stock or something or other? and everything seems to come with vista nowdays so not much to choose from.... apparently) but i will ask my father ol' chap... :)

1Gb is ok for TCV if you gonna use XP, you need more for Vista.
If you can't find XP laptop, try to find one without OS and than take XP Home version if you can.

No problem, glad you sorted it out ;)
It is hard to find XP laptops these days and Vista is just not ready for all the hardware out there.
