If you find a codec to read monkey audio files in WMP then it will work in VDJ!

Whats monkey audio? Sounds funny!

Today is my learning day, its the second time i've had to ask what something is!

Monkey's audio is a format for lossless compression, it is similar to Apple lossless and Flac if you have ever heard of these? Essentially it's like how a zip file works. The contents are compressed but can be restored bit-for-bit back into the original file. Typical savings on wav filesize is 30-60% at no sacrifice in quality.

monkey audio??? first time hear it.. it is something that were done from a specific software n save as monkey audio?? i dunno n would like to koe:P

So that monkey audio.. hehe,, thks andrew:)

spinnaJ you can download the software at their homepage. It's completely free and fully functional. It's quite good practice rip rip your cd collection to either monkey's audio or flac if you can afford the harddrive space and only convert to lossy formats like mp3 from these lossless rips if you're transferring them to a portable music player. This way you will never have to rerip your cds to the new standard, although it looks like mp3 is pretty well established now. I would recommend flac over monkey's audio for the fact that more portable devices support it, although it can be a killer in battery and storage, so mp3 is your best bet usually (portably speaking).

geez,,thks andrew, would give it a shot when i reach home later in a couple of hrs.

I plan to try ripping a few CD's in MAC.
