OSX is the ultimate bloatware, but it's stable bloatware.
Even if that were true, which it's not (how many gigs are needed for a basic vista install vs. Mac OS X?), fortunately as live performers crowds don't notice whether our OS is bloated or not.
They DO however notice OS crashes, freezes, and random errors becuase of the dead air that they create.
That's why I've always said that as soon as Mac VDJ/VV is on par feature wise with windows VDJ/VV, then Mac OS X's overall superiority as an OS will shine.

It will be fixed ;) the first ever PC version had lotsa bugs too..
It takes time to develop, and currently the mac version needs work.
In the video department first of all.
Video mixing is new on mac, and is not using the same technology as a PC (directX), so first time threading into MacOSX core video system, from a PC technology maker, there where bound to be initial bugs and errors...
A whole team of developers are fixing it as we speak, and next release should be a positive one for you all ;)

For once I agree with you.
To say osX is bloatware compared to windows is laughable.

Dont leave everything to the developers VDJ mix videos in a great way!
I am sure i won't be able to find anything that comes even close...
do your home work and you will see that VDJ is great!
Play with the application and you will discover alot...
I mix videos and display them on a projector and tv from the video out of my macbook pro.
I mix Avi, mpeg, flv, divx, almost every video format.
I use mostly divx, small files and great quality to save space on the hard drive.
