Topic: LOWERING DB USEING AUDACITY

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I downloaded Audacity to lower the DB of the timecoded audio track. But I can't figure it out. How do I use the software. Any help will be good.

use the reduction tool to reduce the file by 13 db

to do this select the entire track use Effects/tools Reduction

Andrew, wut do we do with your link exactly? I have been trying to figre out a way to burn TCCD's at the right db level, and i couldnt figure out audacity either

Download it, extract it somewhere, e.g. your desktop.

Then you'll see a message which says put your mp3 file here. Put the virtualdj timecode mp3 there, copy and paste. When thats done, just open convert and it will create a new file called minus13db.wav

That's the file you want to record to cd.
