right click on the local database option and choose
the option scan harddrive

Don't do what Sky said if your music files are on the same hd as your OS, instead click on the little + sign next to Desktop, then Computer, locate the drive your music is on and click the + to that drive. then locate the folder you want and right click on it and add it to Favorite. After it is a favorite right click on it again and add to search database.
