yes .. more info pls..
If u gonna bpm tapping manually, u have to go (default 4.3 skin) to the middle top that say bpm and left right click. From there listen to the beat n adjust it.:)) hope that helps.

the problem is when i beat match
Posted Thu 28 Jun 07 @ 6:13 pm
I have as few songs that I know the BPM is 100% correct
What I do after that is manually listen and match the beats on the songs.
The song with the correct BPM pitch is set to 0
(make sure they stay together for at least 30 seconds)
then click on the BPM button for the new song and then click copy from other deck.
it actually calculates the delta from the zero mark.... Awesome!
Cool Thing about VDJ is that you only have to do this once per song.

some times the beat anchors are not set correctly
i never master this feature but directions are in the manual doc.
Just drop it in on the break manually and you will always be good.

Well , that the art of mixing :))..it is usual for songs to have different bpm, so if one song is 67 bpm n another is 120 bpm n if it within the same pitch, the solution is that on the 67 bpm , go to bpm edit - times 2, hence it became 134 bpm, then u have to do some pitchin +/- until example both is set ,say 125 bpm.. n it set to go.:) but if u dont mind u could just make it to 60 bpm to mix with 120 bpm but this need hearing practice:)
But the above is only the basic explaination n it best to count by hearing:)
About the beat match , as u use home editon, click beatlock as one of the solution..(but not always accurate) .. hope that helps:)

ive noticed any breakbeat tracks are set about 67 and many dance tracks are 120, could i change all of them 120 bpm, wolud it make any difference to the mixing,
Posted Thu 28 Jun 07 @ 7:19 pm
have u try the bpm edit? 67 x 2 =134 .. The most important the beat anchor must be sync (but some cases not reliable), hence it best u sync them by hearing:)

ye just tried it, learn something different everyday,

just 1 more question, what the average bpm setting in most track
Posted Thu 28 Jun 07 @ 7:44 pm
It depend on the genre generally.. example.. hiphop or reggaeton will mostly from 75bpm till 120 bpm (some is higher) , House from 120 till 130 mostly etc. But most dance tracks example techno will be from 138 till 160. Breakbeat is always abt 60 plus to 70 plus cos due to that the beat drop / hit at the beat anchor is just half , hence that is one of the reason is called breakbeat:P (not musically speak), so the average varies depend on genre. For dance i always go for 136 bpm personally:)
