Topic: Finally Got My iCdx!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

i finally got my iCdx and i love it...

its really good, jog wheel is usable and some of the features are awesome

however, i feel its better when not used with the software - some features such as bleep scratch mode cant be used

and with an external HD, are most already formatted in NTFS? Will this mean i have to reformat my drive to FAT32?

Yes, if you plan on using a hard drive directly connected to the iCDX it must be in FAT32. iCDX is unable to read the Microsoft NTFS standard.

**Note - you can not hook the hard drive to the iCDX and then be able to access files in VDJ. You need to have the hard drive connected to the computer and use the iCDX as a controller in VDJ - OR - play the files through the iCDX using it as a MP3 player. **

the thing is, i like the scratch functions on the iCDX better... but when connected, i cant utilize them, i can simply do the reg. scratch

would timecoded cds do the trick>?

hello, is the scratch button pushed??

yes, what i mean is that the iCDX has some features like bleek scratching, bleek forward scratching etc which i really love... i just wish i could do the same thing when connected to virtual DJ/cur

i forgot to ask...

will my pc still recognize and read fat32?

timecoded discs arnt working for me...

hard to configure using the PC input w/o an external soundcard

i keep getting "soundcard not enough channels"
