I've been thinking of buying VDJ and Numark CT or BCD3000. As I have read on the forums there are some issues with the BCD and VDJ, but if I buy a Numark CT will I need to buy a aditional sound card or does Numark CT work as a sound card aswell? I know the BCD3000 does...

there are issues with the 2000 , the 3000 is yet to be tested
the total control has no card so you would need to buy a card such as the dj i/o

The Numark Total Control does need a sound card as it's only a Controller. I've been reading some posts on BDC3000 and for what itr seems, it has it's issues on mapping as itis not fully compatible with VDJ yet, no doubt it will be soon, as many VDJ users have been buying it.
I have the Numark NTC, and the only thing I can tell you is that it works perfectly with VDJ, every single button works flawlessly and it is very acurate regarding actions, jog wheels, scratch feature, browsing folders, etc.
The best part about NTC is that it is a plug and play device, you don't need to mapp it just plug it, wait until it configures by itself, then open VDJ software and in the Remote controlers tab click on Total Control and all the lights turn on and you are ready to roll.
You do need a sound card, I had a Sound Blaster Live 24 bit external and it worked very nice, but I sold it yesterday and I ordered the Numark DJ I/O, as this controller does not have an earphones plug in, because, as I mention before, it does not have an internal sound card, in comparison to BDC2000 or 3000 is that you have to have more gadgets on your set up with NTC than the others, but I was willing to sacrifice some space on my set up for a Controller that won't give me any headaches in mapping and programing buttons.
