I was setting up for a gig but when I open Virtualdj it gives me an error message, try over and over still gives me an error message(VDJ as encounter an error and need to close).I re-install but didn't have the serial code for it, I had to call another dj and leave the party. This was the most embarrassing moment for me.Can someone tell me how to avoid this in the future, I really gives vdj ratings and guys keep up the great work,dj Raymond Daley from Jamaica.

Something is messed up your VDJ, it can be many reasons like defective ram module or some other software (conflict).
You should have install and serial with you, you can lock them up in Rar or ZIP file with the password if you are afraid that someone might steal it.

next time raymond consider taking along a back up of some sort that you can switch over too just in case, it might give you enough time to sort out any future problems that might crop up
but you probably learned that lesson now anyway....

I have had a few problems similar to this. Fortunately I had a phone number of my mentor and was fortunate to be able to call him from the gig to straighten things out.
I have a folder in my documents which contain my serial # as well as the database backup.
In addition as tayla mentioned have a backup of some sort.
I bring a second computer, so if something happenes I can switch over.
