Hi,

Can anyone tell me what I would need in terms of a soundcard to get the best use out of Virtual DJ. I want to hook up a mixer to virtual dj (without turntables) and control as much as possible via the mixer but also be able to control things via virtual dj.

The mixer I'm looking at buying is this one - http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/behringer/vmx200 - the Behringer vmx 200. Has anyone used this with Virtual DJ? If so, what are your thoughts about it..?

Should I get an external/internal soundcard? Should I have 2 soundcards? Should I have one soundcard with x number of channels?

Please provide your advice.

Thanks!

Hi,

When I was looking around I was told from the pro's that a external maya44 sound card was one of the best to have a look at. I think it has 4 inputs and outputs which is suitable if you want to connect other music sources i.e. turntables or cd player to VDJ.

But if you want to control as much as possible I would advice you to get the Hercules DJ console mk2. It has a built in sound card with jog wheels, crossfader and all sorts of controls on it. It has inputs and outputs at the back and a headphone input so you can preview your track.
You can also connect a mixer to it.

Finally it comes with a copy of VDJ Home Edition 3.4 with it, Bargin.
