Topic: Help! MP3 Encoder/Shoutcast

Hey

Wonder if you can help me,

I have A Hercules DJ Console.. and I want to Broadcast my show over the internet. Aswell as Record my shows.
Anyway,
When i go to do my show, it says..
** Record Error **
Can't Open MP3 Encoder.

I have it automatically set to use the encoder,
C:Program FilesVirtualDJlame_enc.dll

So do i need to download this lame encoder?

Also when i try to Broadcast it says,
** Broadcast Error **
Encoder Error


Please Help :)

I'm afraid so. You can use WAV, but it uses a lot of memory - laptops' memory is not very big - about 80 GB on average - though you can get extension hard drives - too much stuff in your computer can also slow it down.

I think the more recent versions of the Virtual DJ software have the LAME encoder installed as standard.

Firstly make sure that ur lame _enc .dll is still in ur Virtual Dj folder in the c drive cos if u move it out from that specific location it could post as an error. Hope that helps.

And where do i need to install it to once i find it.

It should be in ur virtual dj folder.. if u cant find it , try reinstalled maybe u accidentally delete it. I will check for u in couple of hours by the time i reach home..

I downloaded that and placed the particular file into my VirtualDJ folder and now it works ;]]
