Topic: Convertion tools (.wav to .vdj???)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I need a conversion tool in order to conv .wav to .vdj files. Is there one, and where can i find the bugger? I want to be able to load some movie samples onto the sampler, and play them through the third channel of my mixer to spice up a few mixes. Pulp Fiction samples over Alex Reece's tune of the same name would go down a storm. Dark!!

You can actually play .wav and .mp3 files directly in the sampler.
Just choose "Open" and browse your file. Make sure you have selected "show all fileypes" to see .wav and .mp3.

If you want to do the samples the way it's done in VDJ you can follow this recipe:

The format of the VDJ samples is .OGG (Ogg Vorbis).
You need a software that supports this codec.
(I would recommend http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ since it's free)
Save your .wav as .Ogg and rename them .vdj manually. (There is a lot of freeware which can do automated re-naming, just search www.download.com)

Or, the easy way:

Load your movie in VDJ, loop whatever yuo want to sample, press the REC button and "Voila" you have perfect new sample.
