Question:
Why is it not possible to listen to both tracks (DECK A plus DECK B) when you activate the MIX section of the HEADPHONE SELECTION at the MK2 without crossfading??? This is a function which mostly every mixer offers you!
The splitting function works...I also can seperate the Decks A and B..but when i want to pre-listen to both tracks (in the MIX-section) before mixing them together I can hear one Deck. For information: I allready installed the newest updates for VDJ Home Edition (3.4) and also the Firmware updates for the MK 2.
Please help me...i have no idea why the function is not working correctly

for this you need to choose the option Split.
mix shows you what the audience can hear

Thanks for the reply!!
So you can´t pre-listen to both tracks "stereo" before mixing them together??!...Strange...every hardware-mixer has this option (RELOOP, DENON, PIONEER..)..I guess there is no other way (de-activate options in the software or something like this) to fix my problem?! This would be the worst case..so if this is fact, i have to wire the Hercules MK 2 to a stand-alone mixer only to pre-listen...? I worked with the DJ Console MP3 and a soundcard to get the "split" effect for 1 year...but that was no longer a option..My thoughts buying the MK2 were, that the "mix" section can fix my problem...Maybe you have another tipp?
Sorry for the double post, but in the german-forum is no one who can help me, so thanks for your help!

heya it wasnt designed to do it unfortunately
you can force it to play both in stereo however
choose
inputs: none
outputs: headphones
card: 4.1
driver : mk2
channels 1/2 main 3/4 headphones
now set the selector to Split press pfl on Deck 2 and have the cross fader on Deck 1
this way both play
just switch them over to listen to the other
but ultimatey perhaps a little line mixer is what you need
to alow you to listen to both

Thanx for your support SKYFXL!!!
Okay, I´ll try your configuration to get the things started ;o)
Maybe I will buy a little mixer to fix the pre-listening, if things go worse..
That´s real life man...3 weeks ago I bought the Behringer BCD 2000...nice to have pre-listening..but a very bad software support..even VDJ can´t handle the Behringer...it was annoying..so I decided to buy the Hercules one...without pre-listening but a excellent software support and..I didn´t expectet..a great user support!!! I think this is the better choice ;o)
Thanx again for your help, sorry for my english experience...its´s a long time since I left school ;o)
Keept it going man
