Hi guys...hope all is well.

Just a quick one. My machine seems to be doing some rather odd things.

When I play a video or karaoke file and then want to go into a search panel (i use windows search, not VDJ's) the system "won't" let me. Before i start my video content, I go into Start>Search and then map the search panel to my karaoke drive (for example). When I want to search for my next track using the search panel, I just press ALT & TAB to quickly switch between applications. But when I do this, my computer monitor doesn't change to the search panel. In fact, nothing happens. It's like VDJ has taken over my machine. If I use the windows logo key, the start menu doesn't appear. If I minimize VDJ, and then click on the start button, the screen flickers and the mouse always returns to the exact middle of the screen. Then I can't ALT & TAB back into VDJ, I need to use the mouse to get back into it. Anytime I do anything, the screen flickers and the word 'Loading' (as in video) appears on the screen.

I'm using:

AMD SEMPRON 2800
1.5 gb ddr2
XFX GeForce 6600gt with 128mb onboard
Windows XP Pro, SP2 installed
VDJ 4.1
Onboard Sound

Any ideas/advice?

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...(",)

Does this bad boy touch the internet?? Also are you using VDJ in full screen?? I had problems if my VDJ was in either full screen or the other I cant remember, just try either one.

Sounds like you are not using a skin with a resolution that matches what your computer resolution is. Maximizing a 1024x768 skin to fit 1280x1024 will cause the problems you are having.

Never goes on the internet. VDJ is full screen, but video output is set to the graphics card and the secondary monitor is set to 800*600 while the main computer display is 1024*768.

I use the default skin, so not sure how this affects anything. As far as I know everything resolution wise is ok.

This is an ongoing problem with newer versions of VDJ. I have been discussing with the techies for a while now. You must turn OFF "hardware acceleration" (config/video) then you will be able to minimize without a problem. however than you will be taxing your processor/ram/resources instead of taking full advantage of your graphics card's capabilities.
As well you will lose certain functionality of VDJ. ie effects, etc.
Hope they fix this BUG soon.
