Topic: Gigaport or Maya soundcard?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I admit it. I've been using the headphone jack to send audio to my mixer but it's time to buy a USB soundcard. Which one do you recommend?

I just ordered a Total Control, use a USB hard drive to store my music and the VDJ program is on the laptop's hard drive (if all that matters).

If you not plan to use Timecode then take Sound Blaster Live 5.1 USB, otherwise get Maya 44 USB or ESI U46DJ.
I saw negative comments about Total Control :/

Gigaport has only outputs, and you need inputs for timecode, so do as Alf says . . . or else lol

if you are not using time codes the djio is a pretty nice card when paired with the total control.
