Guys

Will a PCI E graphics card work ok in a board if the pci slot in the board is PCI E x16?

This card doesn't appear to be x16, but the board I have in mind is i'm sure.

Can someone please confirm?

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...(",)

should do but if the card is faster than 16 x speed will be wasted

But even if the speed is 'wasted', the card should still work?

That is a x16 card -- look at the blade

Or, read here - http://www.nvidia.com/object/7_series_techspecs.html
2/3rd of the way down --

High Speed Interfaces
* Designed for PCI Express x16
* Support for AGP 8X including Fast Writes and sideband addressing
* Designed for high-speed GDDR3 memory1

Thanks for this. Do you think this motherboard and this processor will be good coupled with this graphics card?

Thanks

Thank you again. This is the board I'll be using. Coupled with a dual core pentium d 015 cpu and 7600gt, with 2 gig of 800mhz (soon to be upgraded as required) and 3 sata hard drives, I'm looking for a monster of a system. I'm sure it'll be all good.

I'm not looking to overclock (won't need to) and those comments seem to be largely based on overclocking, but I'll take them on board nonetheless.

Thanks again.
