okay, so i've read up that using y adapters on each channel of each turntable would do the trick to have a maunal bypass. so i did, but theres a problem. if i plug the y adapter into the turntable's cables, and then plug one end of the adapter into the mixer, everything is great. but the second i plug a cable on the other side of the y adapter, my trebles are all cut out on the phono signal. anyone else experience this?

Thats because the impedence changes when it's plugged in to 2 inputs at the same time. You are better off to build or buy an inexpensive audio/video switcher at Radio shack.
