Topic: What Soundcard To Use With Timecode CDs?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

looks like I'm going to go ahead and breakdown and get a soundcard and timecode cds so I don't have to lug around the dac-3 in a school backpack and risk damaging it AGAIN (left pitch slider is messed up).

What is a good soundcard to use with the timecode cds and where can I get timecode cds?

CPU is winxp dell duo core.

the most known soundcards for this use are:
maya 44 and u46dj or
anyother souncard with 2 stereo inputs and 2 stereo outputs with asio suport drivers
timecoded cd's are free to download here:
http://www.virtualdj.com/products/timecode/VDJTimeCode.mp3
then you have to burn 2 AUDIO cd's with that sound and you are ready.

Don't do anything till the Vestax's soundcard comes out.
They have so many things comming out you will regret jumping too early!

Well - if you want a timecode soundcard - If you're running XP the Serato soundcard works well.

I've even heard the m-audio conective works okay
Search the forums

The only reason I mention those two is that they are built for timecode use with other software.

Or you can wait a couple of months and get the Numark Viretual Vinal soundcard when it comes out - along with Vinals and cd's

well considering I stopped songs that were playing twice friday by using the keyboard I don't think I can wait a few months and besides that I have 2 guest club gigs in pittsburgh on the 27th and 28th.

with the time code cds...you will still have to use mouse and keyboard to pick the songs right?
