Topic: headphones for cueing

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I looked at post and they are ancient.

I want to be able to cue from the computer. I currently use the computer Headphone jack for my sound. I have a gigaport and have experimented with it from time to time.
I would love if someone could instruct me with simplicity.

I know how to use an external sound card and run to an external mixer but at this time I use a Mackie CfX12 channel sound board. is this the only way to accomplish this... the ability to cue in headphones while playing the main.
thanks for any help.

I also use a Gigaport into two channels of my mixer with no problem....

Additionally, if you want to cue with headphones from your computer just buy the PCDJ USB DJ Headphones. They plug into an open USB port on your computer. You can have your output on your sound card go to whatever source you like and be able to cue and mix via headphones. This is also a great back up if your sound card dies. Just have to set up the configuration in VDJ sound card menu.

Its a snap. Good Luck.. cM
