This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Im having a little trouble setting up virtual DJ.

I have 2 Stanton 150's and ESI U46DJ.
I have tried multiple ways of setting it up.
I have done straight into the U46Dj then to mixer, Ive tried using y splitters, nothing works.
Someone with these tables or the knowledge help me out with the setup.
greatly appreciated.

First of all your turntable has Selectable Phono or Line Output.
Select phono output.
Use 1-2 and 2-4 inputs of your souncard to conect your turntables.
Then 1-2 and 2-4 outputs of your soundcard to conect to your mixer.
then select on sound set up 2 timecodes inputs and 2 outputs to your mixer.
Select asio u46 souncard.
Go to time code confiq and on advance view.
Before you press auto confiq make sure that your 2 monitors channels on u46dj control panel are muted.
Press now auto confiq and after that UNSELECT SOFTWARE PRE AMP FUCTION.

Hang on.

You told him PHONO or LINE. But then you said to turn software pre-amp off. The only time you would take it off is if your using PHONO which uses the hardware pre-amp.

So. Let me explain more clearly for you.

If you select PHONO. That uses hardware pre-amp which is built into the sound card. So you must untick the USE SOFTWARE PREAMP option.

If you select LINE. That does NOT use hardware pre-amp and requires you to have USE SOFTWARE PREAMP option enabled/ticked.

u46dj dont need software pre amp.
i get 100 % percent signal only if i untick software preamp and i have u 46dj and sl1200 mk2 wich have phono outputs.
