You know how DJ GetDown scratches, I noticed that when he moves the crossfader side to side, VirtualDJ's crossfader continues to remain in the same place. I was wondering how you can do this. Is it something on how he plugged in his mixer and turntables to the audio converter (for example, Serato)? Another question, How will this affect me when I scratch? Thanks.

He doesn't use a midi mixer but a normal mixer that's why the crossfader in the software doesn't move.

When you use time coded vinyls you use an asio soundcard wich has diferent outputs for each deck to conect to your mixer.
So then you have to do with yours mixer's crossfader and not the software's crossfader.
If you want your mixer's crossfader to coparate with the software's croosfader you have to use a midi mixer like djcel said before.
