Topic: Timecode pitch resolution

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me what the pitch resolution is for TCV's and TCCD's in terms of % pitch? I know the Pioneeer CDJ-800 has a 0.05% pitch resolution, while the CDJ-1000 has 0.02%. How does VDJ timecode compare?

The timecode follows the hardware, so its the hardware that decides :)

With a CDJ100 you have 0.02% and with a CDJ800 you have 0.05% accordingly

VDJ internally has 0.01%

Oh yeah you're right -- in the case of TCCD's it must be determined by the hardware...

But for TCV's then, it's 0.01%? Since TT's are analog..?

yes, in theory... But some turntables have better pitch sensitivity than others..

The better pitch analogue pitch slider, the better sensitivity..

The better the hardware, the better will the timecode control be :)
