Topic: Regarding the FONT PROBLEM with VDJ Mac. (FIXED) - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I have just received word that there should be a fix for this issue early this week, possibly even tomorrow.

We are simply waiting for the dev team to return from Musikmesse and release the fix.

It seems that member "k_one" is not having this problem with Numark Cue for Mac, so it seems to be an issue that can easily be resolved.

Hang in there everyone, Atomix will make it right!

thanks for the news we all in mac would mine for this fix to be today but some things we just have to wait

Yeah, like I said, early this week but possibly today.

Quest what time is it where you are and the developers?

Wtf is going on here?

I dunno.

Don't shoot the messenger though.

I was just relaying what I had been told, and I had been told that most likely Monday would bring a fix.

However, I revised that to "early this week", as I (and most of us) are all too familiar with setbacks and delays from any software companies.

I'm still hoping for something by tomorrow but wouldn't be surprised if this fix (which seems to be a compiling issue) will need a few more days than that, like maybe by the end of the week or over the weekend.

Quest, if Cue works, Why can't they just release Cue for Mac and just remove the "Nuemark from it?

I think it's a lot more involved than just removing a visual element from the software Speed.

Remember that VDJ has midi support for multiple devices among other VDJ specific features that I do not believe Cue has.

I may be wrong about that (I'm not a programmer or developer), but regardless, I think there's a bit more to this in that they wouldn't want to fix the font issue and end up breaking something else.

how about you stick to making music and let them get on with making software... :)

Are you talking to me?!

Because I was just initially relaying the timeline that had been given to me from one of "them" who make software.

Are we likely to get a fix before the end of the week?

That's what we're hoping for.

My initial post in this thread stated early this week, and possibly as early as Monday (per info provided to me by an Atomix Dev).

Obviously in regards to a Monday release, that had not turned out to be the case. However, I still consider Wednesday to be "early" in the week.

I'm banking by the end of the week or during the weekend though at this point.

And If your talking to me, I have every right to ask, it's my money that bought the software, not yours.
and I believe I had directed this question to Quest, and he directed his answer to me, so how about .. you stick to minding your own business--if you wanna take it to that level :-) . Only comment if if your going to help Mr. VIP .

^^Nothing to do with above^^
And Quest, like you, I have a lot of DJs and companies that are very interested in this software, unfortunatly, (well actually FORTUNATLY, lol) they have all converted to Mac, or in the process. And right now, by me telling them it's good (especially for Mac) it's "all talk" right now.

Okay then, you fix the problem since you think that I'm wrong.

Obviously you would think that only if you knew the actual problem, so go ahead and prove that you're right.

Afterall, I dmitted that i don't know the answer since i'm not a developer or programmer.

just wanted to let you know that i'm quite sure that VDJ doesn't differ from CUE in reference to eg. supported devices. i really think it's just the grafix.

THANK YOU!

Sorry Quest if it seemed like I was on your back ... I hope you didn't take anything like that. It wasn't meant in that manor.

So the download center says the font problem is fixed, but as I reinstall VDJ the font problem still seems to occur. Is there more I need to do, or is it not quite fixed yet?

Thanks!
