i'm ripping promo onlys on ext. harddrives
i know on the harddrive you boot from you should have some spare space,
but how about the additional drives ?
some people say 15~20%
but if i only rip a whole collection without deleting or changing(editing, moving etc.) something
not defragmenting anything... (if i'm right...)
does it really matter ?
wouldn't a couple GB on a 500GB be enough ?
i did it before and do not remember having any problems,
but just to be save ... in the long run...

You will need to defrag on a regular basis. I think 4 percent free is good. It seems like I saw that some where. I think it was my defrag software, that said I did not have enough space to defrag.
