QUESTION: I have a Sony Vaio PCG-k27. It says it is upgradable to 1 gig of ram (two 512a) HOWEVER, the one 512 is NOT built in on the mother board, in fact it has two memory slots. Can I get two 1 gig sticks and upgrade it to 2 gig? Above its max?

ALSO TIP: I have found that in older notebooks, the Hard Drive RPM is 4200. (Like mine) When you change it to 5400 RPM it does make a big difference in speed (it did for me) -- can we confirm this Teamers?

How come on the MAC, it says Max is One Gid (two 512s) ... There is a 512 built in on the board, and you add another 512 = 1 gig.

Instead of adding 512, I added 1 Gig so now it is ready 1.5 gigs OVER the max.
