Was wondering if there is a quicker way to scan songs other than 2 at a time?
Thanks

Are you saying you can only scan two at a time? sheesh?

2 at a time X 10,000 = a lot of time sitting in front of the computer

Not understanding how you are trying to do this! You should "right click" on a music folder and hit "analyze" That should allow you to do complete folders at a time

Yes, but what if you add 50 songs to that folder, you don't wanna have to reanalyze the whole folder, then it would take 25 operations 50 divided by 2.

Put those files into another empty Mapp and Scan that mapp then move the files to the other mapp..the Program saves the id3 tags so it doesnt matter if you move them from mapp to mapp..

Do this, you can analyze your diferent music subfolders, and leave it working.
When you close VirtualDJ it saves this values.

If you add songs to a folder that aren't analyzed you can sort by bpm and the ones that aren't analyzed will be on the bottom, you can then hold down the ctrl button and click on those that arent analyzed and analyze just those highlighted. Me personally I use a different folder then sort the songs after analyzed. SAVE YOUR DATABASE WHEN DONE BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN VDJ.

I do exactly that, but why after I finish, I can sort by bpm again and say 6 out of 24 do not have their data saved. I usually have to go over this three or four times to get all the new songs analyzed and stored.
I do hit recurse after each time as well. I've tried alt s for save database too. It still happens on three different macines and on both 3.4 and 4.2? It's like the program can't store more than 5 or 6 at a time? weird, huh??
Please help me on this one

You know I have had this happen to me as well. I am thinking maybe those are read only folders??? I don't know but I do know what you are saying. I just make sure I save and back up my database then go and fix those few that havent scanned. I would rather have 6 songs not right then to have to rescan the whole folder.

I don't know if I'm posting this right, but my home edition will not read my files from my hardrive, which are on Windows Media Player! I have about 1k songs, but I have to rip the songs from a disc to get them to play on DJMixStation3. This is time consuming...please help. The decoder will not read my wma files.
